Seoul Winter Vacation

     Our Seoul Winter Vacation 2019
Seoul: The heart of South Korea

Seoul is a vibrant city with rich culture and the top of the line technology. During the early January of Winter 2019, we went there on a vacation and had the time of our lives; we finally got to experience snow and the food there is magnificent.

I might not be able to explain what we all did in one paragraph, so I'll post where we traveled.

N-Seoul Tower
N-Seoul Tower is a huge communication tower and tourist destination, it is the 2nd tallest tower in Seoul. We went to it on our first day, and we rode a cable car up to the tower. The view up from the high floors in the tower was amazing, the city of Seoul looked so beautiful at night with all the lights. Too bad I don't have pictures of the view myself since my phone is bad.

Sky Seoul Tower/Lotte World Tower
The Lotte World Tower
Seoul Sky Tower or the Lotte World tower is the fifth highest tower in Seoul. The tower features a great observation floor where you can see the city and also a very fast elevator.
The city view is quite gorgeous and the view from the bottom gave me anxiety as in my mind there might be a chance that the glass would break(although unlikely) and I will fall about a hundred or so stories. Fun fact: The temperature outside was so cold that in the photo of the city, you can see the ice from the lake actually freeze into ice.

Grevin Seoul Museum
Grevin Seoul Museum is a museum full of wax sculptures of influential figures all over the world. Whether it'd be rock stars, scientists, actors, musicians, k-pop stars, k-drama stars, or even just famous people. The sculptures looked true to life and natural, even though they were literally just static wax statues.

Nami Island
"Nami Island is Korea’s most globally recognized tourist destination and cultural brand welcoming over 3.3 million guests annually. Combining a refreshingly beautiful natural setting only 63 kilometers from Korea’s capital of Seoul, Nami Island is a peaceful place promoting culture and leisure in harmony with humanity and nature" - Tripadvisor. When we went to Nami Island, it was especially beautiful, the ice sculptures were made to look fantastic along with the frozen pond.

Nami Island is also a place where the Korean drama called "Winter Sonata" was filmed.

Vivaldi Snow Park/Snowy land
Vivaldi Snow park or Snowy land is a great ski resort. You can either ski, sled, or snowboard down the snow, or make small snow buildings with the very soft powder snow. This was actually the first time I actually experienced soft snow, it was very surreal.

Everland
Everland is an outdoor theme park filled with loads of things! We never had the courage to go on any of the more extreme rides, but we explored and found nifty things. There was also a zoo filled with animals that we normally don't see here in the Philippines, and they also have a panda exhibition.
Lotte World
Lotte World is an indoor and outdoor theme park, it is one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world.  There is so much to do here! The rides range from lightly exciting to intense, with normal rides to virtual 3d/4d rides, Lotte World truly is a fun place.

Freefall ride

Before closing time, Lotte World hosts a parade inside featuring some mascots of Lotte, floats, giant puppets, and more. Here is a full video of the parade.
